The Easy Ways To Know Your Past Life

Real psychicreview noted that there are two easy ways to examine whether you have a past life or not.

Is reincarnation really real? Have I been here before…..without even knowing it? Basically - have I lived a past life, or is the whole idea silly? In this article they are going to examine the idea of reincarnation and past life research and see if YOU’VE actually had many more lives ( and many more bodies!) than the one you know today as “you”.

Okay…..but what are the signs that they have? It sounds so weird and far fetched!

Yes, they agree, it can sound a bit strange until you get your brain around it. But, remember, many of the most intelligent and intellectual cultures believe in reincarnation, including most Hindu and many Buddhist belief systems as well. (which represent a huge segment of the worlds population….and are FIRMLY rooted in the notion that our soul has many incarnations)

But, two sure fire signs that you’ve got something work looking into would be:

Very strong recurring sense of deja vu that is not a once in a while sort of occurrence. Usually, it will happen around people that are close to you now, but you felt like you’ve “known” forever once you met. (and couldn’t quite describe why) Of course standard deja vu experiences of “places, people and things” that you seem to know, but have never been exposed to before are also common.

You have “skills” you’ve never learned….or have come way to easily to be explained easily. This is a whole cool topic in of itself, and lots of prodigies, for example, have had “recollections” of having these skills in previous lives, and just picked up where they left off. Interestingly, many children who show these skills (including for math, art, music) often completely” forget” the past life as they get older, (but talked about if often as a child) but the special skills remain. Several famous books have been written about this - and it’s very tough to explain away, even for the skeptic.

Bottom line?

They believe we’ve all lived many lives…and serve many masters! The best thing you can do is speak to someone who can help you explore your own...and begin an amazing adventure into the unknown that will change you forever.

Homeric View of the Afterlife

Homer (800 B.C.E. to 750 B.C.E.), was a Greek poet where he attributed many great epics as his credited “writing” the Iliad and the Odyssey; the epic poems about Achilles and the city of Troy. Scholars have debated then and now about whether Homer was an actual man who existed or if instead these epic poems have been created over time by series of storytellers and had been eventually written down.

Nobody really knew who Homer was but he was the one of the main poets contributing to Greek mythology. According to legend, Homer was known to the blind and lived in Ionia. It is not clearly possible to have a wide range of knowledge of who Homer was. Homer will always remain the greatest name known to ancient poetry and ancient art in whole. “How vein, the merit, is the name,” Homer surely describes himself. To Greece itself, he was the most important piece of their lives. He was the factor of Greek literature, the model of Greek art, and character. When his poems are taken in consideration, people should make a theory to the nature of the personality hidden behind these poems, which bear his name. Poems in which, Homer, has been known for more than two thousand years.

Though Homer’s life is a mystery, with his epic stories and myths, he has become well known throughout history. We know who he really is by the depictions of the stories, that he was the very characters and places he had talked about. He is not dead to be unknown but to be alive for many generations to come. Everyday he has been met by many children in schools throughout the world. Homer’s mind and heart are within his writings.

Countless difficulties beset any interpretation of the Homeric view of the afterlife, many of which are linked to the nature of the composition of the Odyssey as a whole and the Book of the Dead in particular. Discrepancies are apparent, and explanations must finally hinge upon one's views on the much wider problems of the Homeric question. Does the Book of the Dead reflect different attitudes and concepts put together by one man or several, at one time or over a period of years and even centuries? Basic to the account perhaps is a cult of the dead seen in the sacrificial ceremonies performed at the trench and in the serious note of moral compulsion to provide burial for one who has died. But as the description proceeds there is much that is puzzling.

Not Annihilation

I am starting to quote about deja morts in Buddhism perspective:

NOT ANNIHILATION

When we first hear of rebirth we may become excited by the idea. Then, on discovering that the Buddha said we would be well advised to break away from it, we may become disappointed and think we are being asked to direct ourselves towards annihilation, the very thing we may have thought we had been saved from. But this is not the case. The cessation of rebirth is not annihilation; it is merely the cessation of the various states of suffering.

Annihilation is a figment of our imagination. First we imagine that at death we shall enter a state of nothingness and then we believe in what we have imagined. There is no foundation for such a belief. The Buddha refuted the idea of annihilation as well as the idea of eternity, because he saw that all things are impermanent. On one occasion he was asked about the existence of the self, to which he gave no reply. The questioner, Vacchagotta, went away. After he had gone, Ananda, one of the Buddha's disciples, asked him why he had not answered the questions.

"If, Ananda, when asked, 'Does the Self exist?', I had replied to him, 'The Self exists,' then, Ananda, that would be to side with all those recluses and brahmins who are eternalists.

"But if, Ananda, when asked the question, 'Does the Self not exist, then?' I had replied, 'No! The Self

• Iih". not exist,1 that would be to side 11 those recluses and brahmins who ire annihilationists.

"Again, Ananda, if when asked . . . 'Does the Self exist?' I had replied, l he Self does exist,' would that reply I"- i onsistent with my knowledge that 111 things are impermanent?"

"No, Lord, it would not."

"Again, Ananda, when asked, 'Then does not the Self exist?' if I had replied 'No! it does not exist,' it would li.ive added to the bewilderment of Vacchagotta . . . For he would have said, 'Formerly I had a self, but now I have one no more.'"

Samyutta-Nikaya, Some Sayings of the Buddha, (abbreviated)

The Buddha was not able to answer Vacchagotta's questions because they were inappropriate. Whatever answer he gave would have been incorrect.

Vacchagotta had the idea of a self and he wanted to know whether that self existed or not. We have to come away from ideas of all kind in order to be aware of actualities. There is no need to fear oblivion and annihilation for ourselves or for others. Bodies come and go, but the essence of what we are does not. As Hui Neng said, "Who would have thought that the Essence of Mind is intrinsically free from becoming and annihilation!"

REALISING THE UNBORN

There are things we can easily know and see for ourselves and there are things that are not so easy to know. For example, we can know what rebirth is; we can see that mind and body are impermanent and yet continue; we can realise the unborn, the deathless.

What we may not know is what tomorrow will bring, or what next week, next year, next life will bring.

We may speculate on these things, of course, and make assumptions based on different circumstances and conditions. But such speculation, as the Buddha said, is very unwise. Shrouded in desire, speculation is bound to produce wholesome and unhappy states of mind. When we realise just what this life is and what 'I' am, however, there will be no need for speculation.

Why is it that most of us do not see life as it is? Why are we blinkered? 11 is because we are fettered by our past actions to a particular kind of existence. Effects of past actions (karma) stop us seeing things as they air. We cannot see truth when we are preoccupied or troubled. Worry, despair, longing, or anxiety cloud the truth of the moment. The cessation of unwholesome actions leads to the realisation of truth. When we become less concerned about ourselves and what we can get out of life by way of pleasure and personal ambition, then we can see life as it is.

To accept life as it is without wishing it were different is to give ourselves the opportunity of being aware of what is actually happening as it happens. In so doing, we become acutely aware of impermanence. To see impermanence fully, brings us to the realisation that eternalism is a folly and annihilation is an impossibility. Rebirth is thereby seen for what it is. And to see rebirth for what it is, is to be free from rebirth. Being free from rebirth, we are aware of our unborn undying nature. We are thereby relieved of the suffering which arises because of believing in a self subject to birth and death and, in consequence, realise the peace and happiness of the unborn.

Understanding The Deja Morts Phenomenon

Understanding the deja morts phenomenon is not easy. I share Adrianne thought about this:

let’s ask what can we gain by more consciously flipping the channel and connecting with other lifetimes of which we may be a part.

Integration

What first comes to mind when I ask you these questions: Who are you? How do you define yourself?

Do you think of your physical attributes? Or the roles you play in life? Or maybe your astrological sign, numerology numbers, or Myers Briggs personality type? These descriptions of you might easily come to mind but even all of these put together don’t feel very close to the whole picture.

Do you ever go deeper and ask questions like: Why was I born with this gender? Why do I love doing one thing but feel an innate aversion to doing something else? Why do I feel drawn to certain careers and totally uninterested in others? How did my specific personality develop? Why am I initially attracted to some people but totally turned off by others?

Sometimes an easy answer comes to mind and sometimes these questions can just hang in the air as a mystery - perhaps almost pointing to a missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle that is you.

My life as a Clock Maker

About a year ago while listening to a guided meditation on revisiting a past life to reawaken a skill/ talent, I was led to an insight into my love in this lifetime for precise, detailed, artistic pursuits. I sensed the setting for this other lifetime to be several hundred years ago in England. I experienced myself as a balding and slightly overweight middle age man walking down cobblestone streets. Apparently, I was a clock maker, as I next experienced myself leaned over a dimly lit wooden work table using small delicate tools to piece together a beautifully intricate clock. I was entranced by the detail and precision of this task. While coming out of this meditation I made a connection between this lifetime and my experiences in architecture school. One of my favorite activities was building intricate models of my building designs. I could sit for hours using an x-acto knife to delicately place strips of bass wood in precise spacing and orientation
And here is the rest of it.
Healing

Have you every read the classic book Many Lives, Many Masters by Dr. Brian Weiss? He tells the story of a patient in his psychiatry practice who several times while under hypnosis re-experiences traumatic events from her past lives. To Dr. Weiss’s amazement, it turns out that re-experiencing her past in this way greatly assists her in healing the issues that she’d come to him to resolve.

I have tried a variation on this through guided meditations in which I allow a traumatic past life experience to re-emerge. I then allow myself to go back and visualize the negative outcome as happening more positively. For example, if someone points a gun at me, I might imagine a bouquet of flowers coming out of the barrel when the trigger is pulled. It does feel good to do this but (maybe because I’m not fully under hypnosis?) my mind also pipes in with ”this could all just be your imagination.“ (The mind always seems a little too suspicious of those parts of reality and experience it doesn’t have tidy explanations for).

Well, perhaps I am experiencing other lives or perhaps these are metaphors arising out of my subconscious. Either way, I don’t believe that I need to be overly concerned with how I define the images and experiences that come up because either way it’s valuable. I am integrating parts of myself - bringing to conscious awareness to more of the pieces of who I am. True healing occurs when I allow myself to fully accept what is shown to me about myself and then become empowered to make changes where necessary.

Is there cross-communication between lives?

My primary training as a psychic is in reading the Akashic Records. The idea of the Akashic Records is of a database which records everything (every event, thought, action, intention, choice, etc.) in time and space. Because this is not a physical place like a library or something the information exists energetically. To ”read” the Akashic Records is to allow the energetic information to filter through my frame of reference (or my ideas about how physical and spiritual reality operate). I use a frame of reference that makes logical sense and that I feel others can wrap their minds around too.

Included in my current frame of reference is the idea of past lives and when I am searching a client’s Record to find the root cause of difficulties many times an event from a past life will come up. When I first began doing readings, for a while I was skeptical that I was actually picking up past life information despite that this was the title I assigned to it. However, when I relate past life situations to my clients they fully identify with the negative thought or emotional pattern that I discover is presently occurring as a result. Often as well, they relate strongly to the past life experience too - it just seems to ”make sense” to them that this happened.

A few months ago, a past life arranged marriage situation involving a very controlling mother came up in one of my readings. When I told my client about this she replied that it sounded similar to her present life. It turned out that during her 20’s, although she was quite a free spirit and not very interested in marriage, she was pressured by her mother to tie the knot and ended up doing so. Her mother had expedited the process greatly by arranging all the details so it seemed to my client that the marriage just kind of happened to her one day. She was left in a bit of shock, asking herself “what have I done?!”

So, was my client recreating a similar situation to this other life in order to heal it? Or if all of our lifetimes exist simultaneously were these lifetimes just very strongly intertwined - co-created by different aspects of my client’s higher self? Or was I just describing a metaphor for her past experience in this lifetime? It’s interesting to ponder these levels of connection that may exist between our various aspects.

Distracted by other lifetimes

I’ve discovered that there are helpful ways and not so helpful ways to access other lifetimes. Often when I uncover something traumatic which happened to my client in another life, I also discover that they have what I call an open “portalway” to that other life in their subconscious mind. I use another television analogy to explain this situation.

Having a portalway open is like having a big screen TV on in every room of your house. You are trying to focus on what you are currently doing (in this case your present lifetime) but the TV is a real distraction and you keep looking up at it. Whatever is playing on it (your traumatic past life events) can influence and distract you to a certain extent. In this case a person can be too aware of what is happening in this other lifetime. Because what happened was so traumatic, they may be trying to re-learn the life lesson they already completed to be extra careful not to repeat the past. Bringing conscious awareness and healing to this can really help someone become more empowered in experiencing and enjoying this life.

Accessing other lifetimes

Do you feel more curious now about the other aspects of you - about your other possible lifetimes? Do you sense that something is not quite right in this lifetime but can’t quite put your finger on it? Exploring other lives can be very interesting and helpful. If you feel an inner pull toward this, I’d say that’s a sign that you’re meant to discover more.

Born with a circumcised penis

What do you think about a boy born with a circumcised penis?:

The idea of reincarnation fascinated Kirti Swaroop when he was just a kid. And why not? His grandfather, Ganesh Kumar Rawat, told him mysterious tales of his own past life instead of the usual bedtime stories.

Later in life, Kirti Swaroop’s query about life and its mysteries didn’t let him sleep in the nights. That is why he started to pursue the question about reincarnation scientifically.

Dr K S Rawat was at Osho Tapoban, Nagarjun Hills this Saturday, conducting a seminar on the scientific evidence of reincarnation. Here he was sharing the astounding findings he had gathered over a research period of 42 years.

At Tapoban, Dr Rawat shared a few of the 500 cases of reincarnation for which he says he has proper scientific proof.

Many of the subjects he shared had memories of their past lives. Dr Rawat had taken the time to go in person to verify whether his subjects were just bluffing or were really part of a paranormal phenomenon that beats most scientific-minded people.

Apart from memories of a different life, some of Dr Rawat’s subjects also had birthmarks that they could trace to a previous life. A girl called Laxmi born with a birthmark on her head remembers dying by being hit in the head by a stone.

One of Dr Rawat’s cases included a Hindu boy born with a circumcised penis.

“Not only did they boy know exactly how to perform the Muslim ritual of Nawaz, but also remembers the exact process of circumcision,” shared Dr Rawat.

With a paranormal topic as his topic of research, Dr Rawat says he gets a lot of hoaxes as well. But for someone who has done his Ph D in Reincarnation, Dr Rawat says it’s easy to spot a hoax in a matter of minutes.

“There were nine kids claiming they were Gandhiji in their past life, but all were making it up,” he said.

One question raised to Dr Rawat at the seminar was why only some people remember their past lives while most don’t.

Dr Rawat said as there isn’t much research done in reincarnation at this point in time it is very difficult to tell exactly why only some people have such memories.

“But many who died a sudden and unusual death seem to remember their deaths,” he added.

Also speaking at the program, Swami Anand Arun, coordinator of Osho Tapoban said scientific information on reincarnation exists, but many Christian societies try to suppress this information as it goes against their religion.

“It is the same as Galileo’s case. He proved that the earth revolves around the sun in the 17th century, but the Catholic Church officially accepted this fact only in 1960,” said Swami Arun.

Remembering Past Lives

Do you know what the karma is?

"Unimaginable, bhikkhus[monks], is a beginning to the round of births . . . It is not easy, bhikkhus, to find a being who has not formerly been one's mother . . . been one's father . . . one's brother . . . sister . . . son . . . daughter during this long, long time."

The Buddha: Samyutta-Nikaya: An Anthology, BPS,(abbreviated)

If we have really lived before, why do we not remember having done so? Surely a whole string of lives would not slip our memories! Well, some say they do remember. The Buddha made no secret of the fact that he could remember past lives:

"Thus with the mind composed, quite purified ... I directed my mind to the knowledge and recollection of former habitations. I remembered a variety of former habitations, thus: one birth, two births, three . . . four ... a hundred thousand births, and many an aeon of integration and many an aeon of disintegration and many an aeon of integration-disintegration; such a one was I by name, having such and such a clan, such and such a colour, so was I nourished, such and such pleasant and painful experiences were mine, so did the span of life end. Passing from this, I came to be in another state where such a one was I by name . . . Passing from this, I arose here. Thus I remember divers former habitations in all their modes and detail."

Majjhima-Nikaya, PTS,(abbreviated)

The majority of us, however, cannot even remember being born, or the first few years of our lives, let alone previous existences. But memory is a strange thing. Sometimes it works for us and sometimes it does not. Thousands of people have ' lost' hours, days, months, even years because of accidents or traumatic experiences. Those events have just been wiped from their memories. Others have lost their memories completely, not being able to remember who they are or where they have come from. Just because they could not remember their past, of course, does not mean they did not have a past. In the same way, the inability to remember past lives is no indication that those lives did not take place.

Irrespective of whether we remember past lives or not, however, many of us sense that we have lived before. We may experience sensations which feel like memories, but which refuse to form themselves into anything as concrete as actual memories. These unaccountable feelings or sensations may not, of course, be the left-over experiences of past lives. Nevertheless, to most Buddhists at least, only the accuracy of one's memory would be in question, not rebirth itself, because rebirth is apparent here and now in this life.

KARMA

Rebirth is inseparable from cause and effect which in Buddhism is called karma.

Karma is regarded as an infallible law in which there is no provision for chance. What happens to us and what we have in life has come about as a result of past causes. Like rebirth, cause and effect (karma) is not a theory; it is something we can easily recognise. We can see that our present behaviour determines how we shall feel in a moment's time. If we are angry, even for a moment, we are instantly unhappy. That unhappiness, which can last for a long time, is a reaction to being angry and is therefore the karmic result of being angry. If we hate something, we are filled with hatred — hatred is the karmic result. If we are patient, then we are serene and tranquil, serenity and tranquillity being the karmic results of patience. If we live selfishly, pushing people around in order to get our own way, we shall, sooner or later, experience being pushed around by others. If, on the other hand, we are kind, people will be kind to us. Such karmic results do not necessarily come via the same people. We may give something to someone out of generosity and then some entirely different person may be generous to us. These things we shall become aware of if we become aware of our actions and reactions, the processes of karma, in our daily lives.

Sometimes karmic reactions occur remarkably quickly. At other times, years or perhaps lives are needed for karma to unfold itself.

"All beings are the owners of their deeds, the heirs of their deeds: their deeds are the womb from which they sprang, with their deeds they are bound up, their deeds are their refuge. Whatever deeds they do — good or evil — of such they will be the heirs."

The Buddha: Anguttara-Nikaya, The Word of the Buddha.

Karma can be likened to throwing sand against the wind. The sand blows back in the face of the one who throws it. Whatever we put out into the world, mentally or physically, will return in kind — mentally or physically.

How we live, therefore, has a direct bearing upon the events in our lives and the way life appears to us. We all occupy the same world, but our experiences of that world can be vastly different. It seems that the world is like a mirror which reflects our inner natures. How things appear to us outside is dependent upon how we are inside. 'We' and our world are reborn from moment to moment in accord with our actions and attitudes of mind.

There is no 'real' state anywhere to be found, as such. Whatever state or condition we find ourselves in is real to us at the time. Even the weirdest experiences that we have in dreams are rarely questioned by us in those dreams. We can read people's thoughts, meet old friends who are dead or who live on the other side of the world, fly through the air, play musical instruments that we cannot play in our waking lives and perform all sorts of wondrous actions, and yet it does not occur to us that anything is wrong or strange about what is taking place.

Life in a dream is real at the time. Whatever we experience, in a dream or otherwise, is real to us as it is happening. Because everything is transitory and subject to change, reality is in this moment and not beyond it. And this moment can be any state or condition. Therefore our 'world' can be heaven or hell or anything, because we create it by our actions in body, speech and thought.

The Buddha claimed that he could see the course that brought beings to the states of existence they were experiencing:

"I comprehend that beings are mean, excellent, comely, ugly, well-going, ill-going, according to the consequences of their deeds, and I think: Indeed these worthy beings who were possessed of wrong conduct in body . . . speech . . . thought . . . incurring deeds consequent on a wrong view — these, at the breaking up of the body after dying, have arisen in a sorrowful state . . . But these worthy beings who were possessed of good conduct in body . . . speech . . . thought . . . incurring deeds consequent on a right view — these, at the breaking up of the body after dying, have arisen in a good bourn [state] ..."

Majihima-Nikaya, PTS, (abbreviated)

If the transitoriness of life is borne in mind, if karma and rebirth are observed as living truths, then we shall naturally do the wisest thing in our lives and when we do, there will be no need to fear life now or in the future.

Kryon ~ Channelled through David Brown

Kryon message (through David Brown):

3 February 2009 at Marina da Gama, Cape Town
"Journeying into a new world"

Greetings Dear Ones for I AM KRYON of Magnetic Service. Once again it is wonderful to be here in Marina da Gama. Times are changing, it looks like things in the economy are getting difficult but a new world is beckoning and in every birth there is pain. There are many, many, shifts ahead, many changes; and Dear Ones we bring you much love much gentleness, much tenderness.

I Am Kryon of Magnetic Service and we bring to you a new world, a world full of shifts, full of changes, full of cleansing, full of purity. We are here to take you on a journey into love, into a new world, a new world which is barely round the corner. Many of you have been working on yourselves for many years now and you will begin to feel the benefits of your inner work. You will also be able to trust that when you come across an issue you can work through it, you can step into your new world you can clear your issue and gladly start the next.

You will realize and recognise that as you face your issues and you heal your issues on the inside and take the action in your outer world you will find your world becoming a very different place.  You will find that your inner mood, your inner ambiance, will begin to change and you will begin to feel much fuller, much safer and much more secure in your world. You will also recognize that all these patterns of behaviour come from your childhood and what you work through in this lifetime you will work through into past lives and beyond.

Taking yourselves into a new world, experiencing the lifetimes that you have lived. Initially on this spiritual path the lifetimes that you have worked through are the difficult ones, the painful ones, lifetimes where you struggled and where you suffered. That is the karma that you bring with you to this earth, the karma of these difficult lifetimes. For it is set up in a way that you work through the difficult, painful lifetimes first and move on to the more loving, the more caring lifetimes as your journey unfolds. You have to remember that you are what you create and if you are these painful lifetimes filled with suffering then you will create that in this lifetime until it is resolved. Your childhood will have been one of stress and suffering, of course there will be happy moments but you will go on a journey into a new world, a new life.

There are many shifts of energy flowing and have been flowing since we last spoke; and, as always, these energies bring difficulty. Release them and then enjoy the release knowing that you have stepped into a new level consciousness and each level of consciousness is a journey, each level of consciousness requires learning, understanding, knowledge, it requires emotional processing, it requires your body to become clearer, freer, and more expansive.

As you expand into new levels of consciousness you are always expanding into the unknown. It is also a fearful exercise. As you open yourselves up to new energies and you become very positive you will feel very alive and full of love; we have always said this in these channellings. You will also raise those energies that hold you back and that stop you stepping into this new vibration, this new level of consciousness.

There has been much talk about the lifetimes of Atlantis and the lifetimes of Lemuria but there have been many lifetimes in these last two thousand years that have created great, great suffering. Europe has experienced great suffering over the last two thousand years even into the last century when there were two great wars where there was great suffering. The Roman Empire and its building and its fall created great suffering in Europe and there are many lifetimes you will find your self in European times where you will have experienced a great deal of suffering and a great deal of shame; depending on which side you were on. If you were on the Roman side of the coin or if you were a spiritual person seeking freedom in Europe you may have been subjected to persecution.

There will have been warring factions between small kingdoms wishing to expand and of course the Roman Empire with its powerful military force wishing to dominate and rule the world. Not only rule the world through military force but also the spiritual side of things under the auspice of the Roman Empire in the third and the fourth centuries after Christ was born. This brought an ever changing flux of consciousness and an every changing flux of leadership for there were people who had a phenomenal consciousness in days of old. Of course this was a threat to the Roman Empire for the Romans wanted to rule the world and have the same beliefs amongst all its peoples, be these beliefs true or false.

There were many races that believed that the sun was the centre of the universe or the solar system and the earth moved around the sun and of course the Roman church and the Roman Empire didn’t want this to be believed, they wanted the Roman church and the Roman Empire to be the centre of the world. Of course it was the centre of their world but not the centre of the true world.

So peoples were broken spiritually, through force, nations disappeared, other nations conquered and many nations arose out of a mixture of different peoples and as all this evolving of consciousness and evolving of the planet and evolving of the forces that controlled and surrounded the planet went on it created upheaval, century after century there was war in different parts of Europe continually. France in the twelfth century and Germany in the fourteenth century, Britain in the first century with Roman invasion, the Norman invasion of 1066. This caused great suffering but every cloud has a silver lining and there must be some reason for all this suffering, for all this changing, for all this war. Perhaps at first sight it may not be clear but the journey into love is not an easy journey; wherever there is war you could say there is an absence of love for some reason or another.

There has to be some reason for every action and every reaction and this will have affected people on a cellular level for hundreds and thousands of years to come especially where the level of consciousness is so low.

In the days of Pythagoras one could argue that the consciousness grew, it certainly grew for him but the consciousness of Pythagoras was no different than the consciousness of the druids of Europe for they knew that the earth moved around the sun, they knew that the moon went around the earth they understood the universe.

So why then does a nation that doesn’t understand it overpower a nation that has a higher consciousness a higher understanding of the world and the way it is?

We have often spoken in these channellings about the two energies of importance on this earth, that is the masculine energy and the feminine energy; both these energies are required to evolve and to create the world. If a consciousness expands into another consciousness then another consciousness will evolve and this is what has been happening in Europe, it is that one consciousness after another has been expanding into another overpowering the other but yet the one subtly influences the other and allows a change of direction.

For instance in the early days of Rome the Christians were totally persecuted then when the Emperor Constantine came into power Constantine took over as head of the Christian church and immediately stopped the persecution of the Christians even though one could argue that Catholicism is not Christianity but a conglomeration of different beliefs from around Europe he still changed the consciousness of Rome.

He changed pagan Rome into Christian Rome eventually becoming Catholic Rome, for there is a great difference between Christianity and Catholicism, however, the point is that the consciousness changed. The consciousness was strong and overpowering and less conscious in the areas of love and peace but more conscious in how to control and militarise and create powerful armies. All this changed and Europe has
constantly grown through these interactions and the European people have also grown and expanded their consciousness mainly in the arena of technology, their work ethic and their ability to create a stable Europe eventually.

Every action is created to bring out emotion and to release emotion. There have been many leaders that have come and many leaders that have gone, there have been many empires that have come and many empires that have gone and there are empires that are still here today that were there in yesterday that are smaller than what they were or bigger that what they were. One thing that remains the same is the spirit that flows through every man, it always stays the same, the soul of man always stays the same, as does the soul of the planet it always stays the same.

The journey of planet earth and the journey of mankind is one of evolution; it is one of ever increasing consciousness. As you can see today the technology far outstretches that of yesteryear, as we headed into the last century the technology doubled and trebled and quadrupled the knowledge around technology just exploded completely out of hand. What were left in the past were certain levels of consciousness that knew how to live on this earth, knew how to love on this earth, and that knew how to relate with one another.

There were people who had a consciousness where men and women lived as an equal where the hierarchy became pure. When we speak of pure we mean connected totally with the Divine, where they understood love. One of these peoples were the druids of Britain and also the druids of the German speaking nations and France and these people had an amazing depth of consciousness, had an amazing depth of understanding and love and they knew a sense of belonging, a sense of connection, a sense of oneness. Eventually the consciousness of the druids and the way that they lived with the land was overtaken and overpowered by first of all the Roman establishment. The kings and queens of Europe were also of a high level of consciousness in many respects and understood these druids’ ways, they were noble people because they had a noble consciousness, not all but many of them became pure but these pure people were replaced by stooges from Rome.

Once again Europe finds itself in a difficult position with the worlds economies collapsing, with the wages in Europe much higher than in the rest of the world, manufactured goods are brought in from the East. What beckons Europe is a whole new consciousness, a consciousness of how to survive and how to maintain its power throughout this influx not only of material goods but also the influx of the Eastern spirituality, for many people are looking East for their spirituality and the European person is a little different than the Eastern person, the Western mind is different to that of the East.

However, many of the Eastern techniques for healing, releasing and re-connecting to the Divine are sublime, they work with ease, but the power and strength of the Western mind is very, very difficult to overcome. A Western mind finds it very difficult to surrender, to love, to release and to let go. A Western mind has a different lineage, it comes from a different starting place and we want to take you back this night to where the European people did start, to where their consciousness did start so that you can begin to understand the difference between the East and the West, so that you can begin to understand why over these last few thousand years in Europe there has been so much turmoil and so much change.

So we ask that you close your eyes and go inside and you connect to Mother Earth through the souls of your feet… and connect to Father Sky through the crown charka, and you will feel that in this channelling the energy is not yet stable and the reason behind this is that there is so much pain and so much suffering on this journey back in time through different levels of consciousness.

There has to be a great deal of fear on taking this journey back, back in time. So we ask you to just observe your breath, just be with your breath and just allow yourself to go on a journey first of all back into the twentieth century. Maybe you find yourself in Nazi Germany, Mussolini’s Italy, and London in the bombings.

Just allow yourself, your soul, to take you back, back, back in time just observing and being patient with yourself, the pictures and the feelings will come… just allowing yourselves to keep breathing, watching your feelings, letting your feelings come and let your feelings go. At your feet are your spirit guides, your angels, and the room is filled with the energy of Kryon, just allow yourselves to be held as you take this journey back in time… always observing your feelings, letting the feelings come and letting the feelings go… Just going back deeper and deeper and deeper and find yourself in a European lifetime that caused you great pain and great suffering.

As you find yourself in this lifetime what we really want you to observe is the power that created this pain and suffering, from where did that power come? Why did your soul agree to a lifetime filled with such pain and suffering? Just allow your body to relax, relax, relax just relax. We know the emotions are coming, its okay, it’s safe. Let the feelings come and let the feelings go… just observe.

Let the feelings come and let the feelings go, let the thoughts come and let them go, don’t allow yourself to become attached, let them come and let them go…Now let’s move back to the nineteenth century, the era of great industrialization in Europe and once again observe a lifetime, find yourself in a lifetime in the eighteen hundreds… once again letting the feelings come and letting the feelings go and once again there is
a force, a spirit, that flows through this lifetime, just observe what this is about… just knowing that there is no right and there is no wrong in what you are observing whatever side you were on; there had to be an aggressor and a defender to make this lifetime work…Now let’s move back to the seventeen hundreds just following the same exercise… just letting the feelings come and letting the feelings go and as you get used to this exercise you should feel the energies around you stabilizing, releasing your anxiety. Anxiety is part of the makeup of Western people. So just allow yourselves to feel this anxiety, this constant low level anxiety that belongs to Europe, ever changing boarders, ever changing empires, ever changing rulers and a belief system that doesn’t fit.

Now allow yourselves to go to the sixteen hundreds and the fifteen hundreds to the days of the witch hunts. Whatever part of Europe you are in just allow yourself to observe your lifetimes and each lifetime that you see you will release this night, this very night. You will release all the emotion and you will retain the memory; the emotions of these lifetimes are creating your reality… observe what your spiritual beliefs were in those days…Move even further back in time to the thirteenth hundreds, just observe what your life is like in those days… just letting the feelings come and letting the feelings go…

Now we want you to arrive in a lifetime in France around 1244, a lifetime of the Cathars. All people in the Kryon family have experienced this lifetime where there was genocide in the south of France and where there was another religion in Europe apart from Catholicism that is the religion of the Cathars. A religion similar to Eastern religions, as people that believed in Christ not the physical manifestation of Christ but of the Christ consciousness, many of them became clear, pure, they had many strange beliefs and they also partly descended from the druids; they were also very interconnected with the Nazarene Christian group. Mary Magdalene lived in this area for many years.

Just allow yourselves to observe this lifetime… and in this lifetime if you were on the side of the Cathars you would have been given a choice that is to accept the Catholic doctrine or to walk into the fire to be burnt alive. After the Cathars created a beautiful life for themselves filled with love, poetry, prosperity they had to be subjected to torture and torment of this nature. So we ask you to be in this lifetime and to let the feelings come and to let the feelings go and there can be great shame brought forward from this lifetime. You felt great shame be you a Catholic or be you a Cathar for ending up in circumstances so terrible.

Now lets go further back in time, find yourself somewhere in the tenth, the eighth or the seventh century, in another lifetime. Just letting the feelings come and letting the feelings go…Let’s go even further back to the fourth, the fifth or the sixth century finding the lifetime that is creating what you don’t want in this lifetime. Once again just letting the feelings come and letting the feelings go… letting the thoughts come and letting the thoughts go, not being attached to any of this just accepting what is just is…

Now we want you to go back to AD 326 and we want you to enter a lifetime where there’s Constantine the Emperor and we want you to observe Constantine, observe the decisions that he took and observe why he took those decisions, what was this man’s agenda and how and why did he go about it and how did it affect you in that lifetime? Once again letting the feelings come and letting the feelings go…

All these lifetimes that you have visited so far we want you to bless…bless these lifetimes by first of all accepting full responsibility and secondly apologizing to the parts of yourselves and anyone else or any other aspect that was involved in these lifetimes allowing the energy of apology to flow… forgive anybody and everybody that had to do with these lifetimes… love… allow the love to flow wherever it needs to flow…
Surrender, as a result of all this insecurity in Europe, all this expansion of consciousness just allow surrender, surrendering your behaviour patterns that come as a result of these lifetimes.

As we said in the beginning there must great learning through all of this, every cloud has a silver lining so let’s allow into these lifetimes the energy of gratitude, being grateful that you don’t have to go through this any more, your lessons are learnt, also being grateful for the lessons that you did learn and understand. Now allowing in the energy of letting go, just letting go, letting go of what does not serve you. Letting go is the greatest gift you can give to yourself…

Now we want you to regress back to one last lifetime and that is to the lifetime of Christ. Observe this lifetime, what role you had in this lifetime… we want you to allow the energy of Christ into your bodies, just allow it… and become this Christ energy… and let the feelings come and let the feelings go, let the thoughts come and let the thoughts go just allowing the release, release, release… whatever stops the consciousness of Christ just let it go… and allow this consciousness to speak. Why is it that after two thousand years of Christ that we are still not living with Christ conscious on this planet? What is the force and the energy that prevents Christ consciousness coming to you? Receive this gift of Christ consciousness and let it expand through your body and into all the members of the Kryon soul group throughout the world, let it flow through you and into them and allow the Church of Love once again to open its doors.

For Dear Ones, this is Kryon signing out. Go well, God Bless and take care.

Past Lives, Cosmic Adventures of the Being

In search of past lives phenomenon I really enjoyed the Vladimir Stojakovic article:

I believe that the fear of death is a major factor in shaping the mind and experience of an average human being. A great spiritual teacher Osho said that every fear draws its roots from the fear of death. Renowned 20th century philosopher Emil Sioran, who was an atheist and openly disliked anything related to religion or mysticism, said exactly the same thing. Japanese Bushido, Way of the Warrior, teaches the same from a little bit different point of view: “One can never fully enjoy life until one fully accepts death”. Many of our actions are driven with the need to avoid or overcome death.

It may sound paradoxical, but our belief that we only have one lifetime prevents us from being here and now and enjoying life, by focusing our attention into the future point of time when we will cease to exist, and by creating a feeling that we are racing against time, in continuous rush to hurry up and achieve what we want to achieve, as the time is continuously running out, and there is nothing we can do to slow it down. And as we grow older, this feeling is intensifying, sometimes turning into a sort of “low tone” and ever present feeling of panic.

And the childish church stories about the eternal hell and how we have to “earn” our immortality do not really help, if one is willing enough to lock one’s own intelligence into the basement of consciousness, and to believe into these unintelligent attempts of imagination of carpenters, fishermen, and sheppards who lived thousands of years ago. Church stories were invented to feed and enforce the fear of deats in order to use it to manipulate and control people.

When one believes in these stories, apart from ignoring elementary logic and the basics of free thinking, one is completely ignoring the human evolution that happened since these stories were invented. It was difficult to believe in them back then, and it must require a ridiculous amount of effort to believe in them today.

However, to many people, the stories of reincarnation may sound as wild and as unfounded as the stories of the church do sound to me. I admit that in many cases the reincarnation stories may sound even more ridiculous. As with everything else in Spiritual Development, the point is not in believing but in personal experience. Believing will not bring you any benefits. In most cases, beliefs bring problems. It is worthless if you personally don’t experience it.

In the following article, I described Memento, a method invented by Z.M. Slavinski, with purpose of consciously remembering and integrating one’s past lives. This method enables one to gain the experience for oneself. I also described my experiences with past lives gained by Aspectics, a general purpose spiritual and problem solving method, invented by the same founder.

Aspectics and Past lives

Before I have begun using Aspectics on daily basis, past lives did not seem really important to me. I did not believe I would be able to recall them, irrespective of the effort invested and technology used. At least not until I make considerable progress in discharging the content of the ego generated in this lifetime. And in a way, Aspectics proved me correct.

Before Aspectics came into my life, I could not recall a single thing in my whole current lifetime that would indicate a memory of a past life. And to be completely honest, I am not sure that I even believed in past lives. I want to emphasize that prior to using Aspectics, I already gained decent experience in Spiritual Development, using methods like Gnostic Intensive and Excalibur, of the same founder.

But to my surprise, a few weeks after I’ve started my regular Aspectics practice, past lives begun emerging one after the other. The reasons for the sudden success were in the fact that Aspectics was able to remove a decent amount of the ego content in one process, and also in the fact that I did many processes every day. Aspectics quickly integrated relatively big components of my ego, and cleared the “room” for older contents to come up. With the same efficiency Aspectics dealt with past incarnations. I was able to recall and discharge a few past lives every day. Based on my preconceived ideas, limited experience etc, I expected two things to happen after the recall of my first past life memory:

From then on, I will experience and keep experiencing myself as an immortal being
From then on, all fears will vanish or will be reduced substantially

Experiences and Conclusions

It was naive to expect that these big and essential changes would happen after one past life is recalled and integrated. One past life is a relatively small piece of the ego. It causes changes in certain aspects of life, but for a “global” change to occur in one’s personal universe, more discharging is required, both of past lives and the ego as a whole.

However, past lives were coming up and I kept discharging them. At the same time, while processing past lives, I was also processing other aspects of the ego along the way, not related to past incarnation. I was not in control of the content that was coming up. The only thing I did and was able to do was to simply process away anything that came up.

I have made a number of conclusions based on my experience with past lives processing. Whether my experiences are applicable on other people mostly depends on what method they use to recall past lives, and it also depends on the particular personality of the practitioner.

Some of my conclusions:

In the beginning, the “less” significant past lives come up. As if there is a form of “in-built” control that will allow to contents of the ego to come up, only as much as one can confront at that particular moment.

I had reasons to believe that not all past lives had their remains in my ego. Some of them I will never be able to recall. For one or the other reason, they are already discharged and forgotten. It is not possible to recall every past life because it did not leave any charge in our ego, or it was somehow cleared sometime along the way and has no impact on us at all. Possible…? From my experience – yes, it is.

Not all the past lives I remember are my past lives. Some of the past lives seemed to belong to so called “attached spirits” (see the book Invisible Influences, by Z.M. Slavinski).

Most of the past lives have minor impacts on your personality/current life, and only a few have major impact. In my case, two of the past lives influenced my current life and personality immensely. Discharging them was a great relief, full of insights regarding my current life and behavior, from the early childhood days. It took considerably longer to discharge those two, comparing to the other past incarnations I recalled.

I concluded that karma does not function in such a calculated and precise way like it is presented in contemporary movies and many new age books. For instance, in my past life, I - a son, killed my father by knife. Now, in this life, I am the father to that person, he is my son, and he will kill me in exactly the same way, by knife. This is how karma is portrayed in some popular movies and books, but to me it does not seem to work that way. It is more based on “attraction”. The above father and the son will be attracted to each other in this life and their relationship will have the “taste” of the previous one, but it does not mean that anyone must be killed. When I say the “taste”, I mean they could be a husband and wife in this life, in not particularly “healthy” relationship, and because of the “attraction” from the past life, they are not able to break the relationship, or to change it. When one of the two recalls and discharges that past life, that one will be able to break out of the unhealthy relationship. And then something interesting happens. After a short struggle, the other person is also able to give up the relationship. As if for karma to works, both sides must be charged. If one discharges, the other looses their interest and attraction, too.

I have realized that my past lives were around all the time, I just didn’t recognize them. Or I did not allow them to emerge to the level of recognition. Only the feelings that wouldn’t be recognized as past lives were allowed to go through. What I could not explain or deal with was censored and filtered out. For example, one day I was playing alone in my street playground in Belgrade. I was 6. At one moment I looked up towards the sky. Strong feelings flooded me. I was looking towards the sky and a thought appeared in my mind - “That’s where I came from”. I felt homesick. The feeling was very realistic. It lasted very shortly because I have suppressed it almost immediately. Years after, using Aspectics I recalled a “between-lives” experience that happened long time before my current life. In that experience I was heading towards this planet, from the outer space. I was without a physical body, experiencing myself as a “circle of light”, a “space traveler”. I was out there in the space, “looking” towards the blue planet, “going” towards it. That was the time when I arrived on this planet, or one of the times. At exactly the same moment when I recalled this experience of heading towards Earth, I also recalled the long ago forgotten experience when I was 6 years old in this lifetime, looking towards the sky, nostalgic…

Essentially, past lives are the same kind of memory like events you remember in this life. It does not feel much different. You are the same “I” who remembers but identities are different. In this situation, where you have the same “I” but often a completely different identity that indicates very different type of character in the past life or the opposite gender, that’s when you get a valuable insight. You get to differentiate the “I” from identities, and you let go off identities to a degree. You don’t hold to them, as strong as before. The is probably the most important benefit of remembering and discharging the contents of the past lives.

It is much less painful to process past lives than to process problems in this life, because of the natural time/space distance and safety.

“Between-lives” periods are sometimes more interesting than past lives. Once, I was processing my wife, using Memento, a process that Z.M.Slavinski has created for the past lives recall. After we finished one past life, I was supposed to do the stabilization and finish the session. My wife already had around 5-6 Memento sessions, so she was experienced, in a way. This time, instead of finishing the session, I continued to process her to see what was going on in between-lives period. It was very interesting. She described events during which she was negotiating a new life with some “astral creatures”. They were explaining what kind of life they can offer, and she asked to see the “previews” of them. A preview was a whole future life that would flash within a few seconds. Negotiations were difficult. All of the few lives on offer were quiet dramatic. She was talked into accepting one of them, and as soon as that happened she was drawn towards a couple in intercourse. The content of the incoming life that she has seen during the negotiations was immediately forgotten. I kept the session going and we processed and cleared up that past live as well. It took between one and a half to two hours to complete the session, in which we discharged two past incarnations and the between-lives period.

· Every time just before I would remember a past life, I had to discharge rather unusual mind content. I used to call it “frozen emptiness”. Frozen emptiness used to precede literally every past life. It was more a complete experience, and less a feeling. It was a sort of catatonic experience, a sort of vacuum that would take me over completely, and would have not allowed anything to get in the mind or out of it. It consisted of neutral suppressed and condensed energy, without any emotional content. On the first sight one would say that “frozen emptiness” contained nothing, but that was not really the case. It contained condensed energy under pressure, and its purpose was to create some sort of tampon zone between the past life and myself. Real emptiness has no pressure. The sole purpose of “frozen emptiness” was to suppress a past life, so I could start a new one from the beginning, without any memories. It’s interesting that “frozen emptiness” never occurred in any other situations, when I was suppressing something else, except in the case of past lives.

· I remembered and discharged past existences on other planets, in bodies other than human, including planetary disasters, wars in space, travelling through the universe etc. And all the time, irrelevant of the body I was using, and the identity I was having, the same “I” of today was continuously present. In a way, this widened my consciousness and my vision. I was not any longer focused on this planet only. The playground just got bigger. And the time turned into eternity. It felt as I knew some cosmic secret. This secret was simple. The player can engage into the game as fully as possible. But even fully engaged, with a part of his mind the player now knows that this is just a game. A never ending one. And the purpose is not in winning or losing, in life or death, but in the experience of the game itself, in evolution, in the integration of the whole universe, back into the Being, where it belongs.

Major Benefits

A major benefit of remembering and clearing past lives is an insight or the ability to recognize the real “I” in the woods of ego contents. As you go through one or more past lives experiences, you notice that the same “I” of this life is present or was present in past lives as well. This is very much emphasized by very different identities, genders and personalities from past lives. Everything is so different, just the “I” is exactly the same. This contrast enables you to quite clearly get a glimpse of the Being.

The other major benefit is in discharging and integrating the charge of the past lives, effectively removing their influence from your current life and liberating the being.

It seems that sometimes people look for a sort of ego boost in their past lives, hoping to discover they were important people from the past. From the spiritual point of view, it is irrelevant what one was in one’s past lives. From the spiritual point of view, there are no past lives. The Being is here and now all the time. The being has no past and no future, just the presence.

From the spiritual point of view, the importance of past lives is equivalent to the amount of unconscious charge they stored in the ego. Once that charge is removed, the importance of past lives is removed as well, as they turn into flat and empty mental images, looking like forgotten dreams that happened long time ago.

Naturally, the more of the past lives you remove, the more benefits will occur. It seems to me that clearing the charge of past lives is related to the phenomenon called “crossing the abyss”. This phenomenon happens once you remove the content of ego enough to recognize yourself as a non material being. It’s a short moment in time when you stop existing as an entity in mater, energy, space and time, and start experiencing yourself as consciousness.

It seems that for “crossing the abyss” to happen, you need to remove all or almost all past incarnations “identities”, as it is in the nature of a past life identity to experience itself as a material being, and it stands on the way of experiencing yourself as pure consciousness.

I will write more about “crossing the abyss” in my future article titled “A Journey into Oneself”.

What is important to mentioned is the following. The two major benefits that I expected to happen once I recall and integrate the first past incarnation were to start experiencing myself as an immortal being and to get rid of fears. These benefits are not related to recalling the first past life incarnation, but they are related to the phenomenon called “crossing the abyss”.

Memento

With Aspectics you cannot directly process a past life. If you apply Aspectics regularly, sooner or later past lives will emerge, but to process a past life directly using Aspectics, you have to have something from the past life to start the process with, what you normally don’t have, because past lives are usually suppressed and forgotten. Memento, the Regressive Integration, is created to handle this problem.

A Memento session lasts 30-60 minutes – per past life. Electro-Meter is used during Memento processing, although it could be done without it. Due to its ability to read below the conscious level, and the fact that it enables the processor to differentiate between the real past lives content and products of imagination, Electro-Meter is a guide a time saver.

Memento is the most complete past lives recovery method that I know of. I ran it on my friends, family members and clients, to their great satisfaction. More experienced people were surprised with the degree of completeness with which Memento treated their past lives, starting from successful entering a past incarnation and ending with the full understanding and integration of it.

During entire Memento process, the client is fully aware and alert. The processor does not use hypnosis or suggestions, and the client is not in the state of trance, but in complete control of the session and himself/herself. Only conscious experiences have spiritual value, and the whole story about clearing technology and spiritual development could be viewed as bringing unconscious part of our being to consciousness and their efficient discharging.

After a very efficient way of entering a past incarnation, Memento leads you through its (past incarnation’s) most important events. By going through most important past life events and by discharging them, both the processor and the client get the clear picture and full understanding of the client’s particular incarnation. Focusing on important events only, saves a lot of time and allows clear and quick comprehension of the past life.

After running a few sessions, it become obvious how our lives are actually very simple. They just appear complicated when living them under the influence of charge stored in the reactive mind. But when you go through one whole life in around 30 mins or so, through its important events and problems, you realise how simple everything is when observed from a distance and without any charge, how easy is to find solution for every problem, and to come up with the right decision for every problematic situations. Actually, how easy it would be, if we had no charge and the ego in the current life.

During the process, Memento enables clients to recognise persons from the past incarnation as someone from their current life, if they are with them in this current life. Sometimes they are, sometimes they are not. Thankfully to this feature of Memento, karmic relationships are understood and properly resolved and discharged. This has a great impact on a person and their life experience. Many are attracted to Memento sessions mostly for the possibility of resolving difficult relationships with their close ones. Those relationships often turn to be karmic relationships.

Another interesting feature of Memento is its ability to differentiate whether we are dealing with the client’s past life or with the past life of a creature attached to the client. Attached spirits or entities have their own ego and they get restimulated in the time of our crises. Then, we experience their charge as our own charge, making the situation even more difficult. Memento releases the attached spirit, hence liberating two beings – the carrier – our client – and the attached spirit. Similar feature of Memento will indicate during the process whether our client is a newcomer, recently arrived to this planet, or the client had more than one incarnation on Earth.

Recovering abilities lost in past lives is another benefit of Memento. Here is what Z.M Slavinski writes in his materials for Memento Processors: “Another valid reason for purging past lives is that this way we remove the blockades that prevent the manifestation of an ability or talent in this life. This is a rehabilitation of the abilities a Client used to have. He can block former abilities or talents for several reasons. The most obvious one, the first to be investigated, is that he used to be punished for using his abilities. For example, burned at a stake in the Dark Ages for freely manifesting his beliefs. Now, in this life, he has a strong tendency to suppress any free manifestation of his opinions or convictions.
Another, very frequent reason for losing abilities or talents is that the person had misused an ability he or she had possessed and is, therefore, inhibiting it now. For example, in the past life a person was a dominating person who imposed his will over others. In one of the past lives it had prevented his child from entering marriage with a loved person and that child committed suicide. In order to avoid repeating such experience the Client now behaves as a person of exceptionally weak will and subordinates himself to others.”

However, the peak of the process and its major benefit is discovering the decisions that the client has made at the end of the past life, or just a few moments after the death. These decisions are made often considering the whole incarnation, and they are often negative. They do affect us here and now. Sometimes, the client suffers violent death in the past incarnation, and that too affects the decision making process that comes afterwards. The importance of decisions made at the moments of death in past incarnations and there influence on ourselves today is huge, especially when we know that decisions create our psychology and our reality, not traumas as some still believe.

In 1999, probably the most experienced Memento Processor Bojana Mihajlovic published her excellent book on this method titled Memento, Past Lives. In the book Bojana emphasises that Memento although being past lives regression technique is actually concerned with clearing and easing our current life and our present time.

The complete Memento step-by-step procedure is fully described in the book Invisible Influences, by Z.M. Slavinski.

A Theology of Renewal

Last week, while hidden away in the Bethel Seminary library, I completed my senior statement of faith. The assignment was to select a major theological concept as an integrating motif and run it through all of the major doctrines of the Christian faith. I chose a Theology of Renewal. I relied heavily on the writings of NT Wright, Jurgen Moltmann, Christopher Wright, and Tim Keller. Here is a bit of the introduction…

I believe that in the beginning the triune God, existing in perfect community, created the world, that humanity has fallen into sin and evil and become separated from God, that God has returned to rescue us in Jesus Christ, that in his death and resurrection Jesus accomplished our salvation for us so we can be received by grace, that he established his Church, his people, as the vehicle through which he continues the mission of rescue, reconciliation, and salvation, and that at the end of time Jesus will return to renew the heavens and the earth, removing all evil, injustice, sin, and death from the world.

The coming of the Messianic King is in two stages:

At his first coming, he saved us from the penalty of sin and gave us the presence of the Holy Spirit; But at the end of time, he will come to complete what he began at the first coming, saving us from the dominion and very presence of sin and evil. He will bring a new creation, a material world cleansed of all brokenness (1 Corinthians 15:28).

Christians live now in light of that future reality. We evangelize, telling people about the gospel and preparing them for the judgment. We also help the poor and work for justice, because we know that is God’s will and eventually all oppression will be put down. And we integrate our faith and work, so we can be ‘culture makers,’ working for the common good and human flourishing.

The Christian hope is for God’s new creation, for “new heavens and new earth”, and that hope has already come to life in Jesus’ resurrection (Col 1:18). It is hope, not only for the end times, but for the transformation of lives and communities in the present, generated by the resurrection of Jesus and looking forward to the promised new heavens and new earth.

Christian expectation is about renewal. The beginning of true life, the beginning of the Kingdom of God, and the beginning of the new creation of all things into their enduring form. It proceeds by changing people from the inside out through an ongoing personal relationship with God in Christ and to one another. It penetrates the deepest layers of the soul. It begins to change our ideas, our beliefs as well as our feelings, habits, and relationships. And as people are transformed, social structures will naturally be transformed as well. So much so that one day “justice will roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream” (Amos 5:24).

As long as we see salvation in terms of going to heaven when we die, the main work of the church is bound to be seen only in terms of saving souls for that future. But when we see salvation, as the New Testament sees it, in terms of God’s promised new heavens and new earth those future promises can be anticipated through the mission of the church. Through Christ’s death and resurrection the power of evil has been defeated and the new creation has been launched and Jesus’ followers have been commissioned and equipped to put that victory and the inaugurated new world into practice.

Therefore, as followers of Christ we are committed to joining God in the renewal of all things.

You Only Die Once

And I've already died.

Today Chris preached on Romans 6:1-11

Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ

1. What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?

2. By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?

3. Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

4. We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

5. If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection.

6. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—

7. because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.

8. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.

9. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.

10. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

11. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

He made the statement in his sermon that we only die once, and if we are baptized we have already died. I had never thought about it that way before. But it does say that if we die with Christ we will also live with Him. My body may die, but I won't die. I will instantly be in the presence of God in heaven. What an awesome thought.

His final thought was that because we have died with Christ every day of our lives should be a memorial service to share about our old life and our new life with Christ.

Deja morts: already died

Today I find a new category for the last deja, and I called it deja morts (already died).  Below is the first quote about deja morts, taken from Charles Erlandson’s blog:

Sometimes you think you know someone. And then you stumble upon their CD collection or, in my case, my record collection. Though I’ve been branching out a lot in recent years, if you looked at my record collection you might come away with the idea that it revolves around two poles: Baroque classical music of the 17th century and psychedelic music from the 1960s.

The most valuable record in my record collection is an album by the psychedelic band The 13th Floor Elevators titled Easter Everywhere. And “Easter Everywhere” is a good summary of what St. Paul teaches in Colossians 3:1-4 when he writes that since you were raised with Christ you should seek those things which are above, where Christ is sitting on the right hand of God. Because you have died, and your life is hidden in Christ, Christians should remember that Easter is indeed everywhere for them.

Easter is not just an idea, not just a media event, not just a holiday from work and school. It’s a holy day, a holy season, and a holy reality made holy only by the presence of Jesus Christ.
No Jesus Christ: no Easter.

But where Jesus Christ is, there is the kingdom of heaven, and there we find Easter.

And the work of Jesus Christ is so vast, so cosmic in scope and power, that the consequences of His death and resurrection have transformed the universe forever. And there, Easter is everywhere because the power of Jesus Christ is everywhere.

Easter in Jerusalem. Easter in Hot Springs. Easter in the Andromeda galaxy.
Easter 2000 years ago. Easter today. Easter up in heaven.
Easter at Christmas. Easter during Epiphany. Easter even during Lent.
Easter Everywhere!

Some people are concerned most about the past, some the present, and some the future. If we have too much of a focus on any of these aspects of time, however, we risk an unhealthy distortion. Too much of the past, and you run the risk of nostalgia and not really living anymore. Too much of the present and you become a giant, blind appetite with no direction. Too much of the future and the present stands still and atrophies.

As humans, we need all 3 to see God and live in His kingdom, and time is perhaps a reflection of the Trinity in which the past, the present, and the future all together make up a trinity of one entity called Time. God, and therefore Easter, is in each of these 3: past, present, and future.

As Christians we all know that Jesus Christ truly died on the Cross on Good Friday, in the past. We know that Christ’s resurrection is a historical fact. We also look forward to Easter in the future, to the complete fulfillment of Easter which is our resurrection and eternal life in heaven. We look forward to the future joys of heaven and our glorification (verse 4), and the final triumph over sin and death – in the future.

But what about the present?
A strange thing about the present: did you know that you’ve already died? You see, you were buried with Christ in baptism (2:12). Baptism is both a funeral and a birth: your old man dies, but at the same time, the New Man is born. You have died with Christ to your self, to your old man, to the ways of the world.

You died! and your new life is hidden in Jesus Christ (3:3.) Already. Right now!

The astounding doctrine taught by St. Paul in Colossians 3 is that Jesus Christ is risen, and you are risen with Him. For the Christian, Easter is always here, because Jesus C is always risen – and you are risen with Him – right now.

Your eternal life has already begun because you have already died and have eternal life in Jesus Christ. St. Paul reminds you that if you are a Christian who has given your life to Jesus Christ, you are already risen with Jesus Christ. Not will be one day – you are risen with Him.

The life of the Christian should be indelibly, indisputably marked by this central fact – a fact that St. Paul talks about more than any other: that Jesus Christ is risen, and you are risen with Him. We should see God reminding us of this truth in every nook and cranny of our existence. It should be reflected in the way we think, speak, and act – that Jesus Christ is risen, and we are risen with Him.

Now I know that you may not feel like Easter. It’s just turned to February, and it’s still cold. I’m not feeling too well today. The fact that Easter is here doesn’t pay my bills; it doesn’t stop my kids from arguing; it doesn’t do your laundry; and it doesn’t take away your arthritis, or weak knees, or heart problems, or chronic fatigue (though one day it will!)

But I also know that when we remember what God has done, for example on Easter Day, we find ways to celebrate and actually feel like it’s Easter and that Christ has risen.

What a shame that Easter is just a day! What a shame that after Easter Day we have to go back to “real” life, as if nothing has happened. After all, that’s what the disciples did: they went back to fishing, as if nothing had happened.

How many of you are content to live the rest of your week without Jesus Christ and His Resurrection? How many of you are content to wait a whole year to worship God at Easter again?
And yet that’s what some of us do!

But what sense does it make to say I was baptized into Christ – and I will live in heaven for all of eternity with Him - but then refuse to live with and for Him here and now? What if I told you some ways that you could remember and live in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ Easter each and every day?

God has left you daily, seasonal, and annual reminders and means of participating in the Resurrection of your Lord. For the Christian, Easter is to be everywhere. And it is. But sometimes in the cloudy winter days of life we can’t see or feel it.

Here is a week of ways to remember Easter – the fact that you are risen with Jesus Christ and should live with Him in joy.

First is the Easter of prayer. Every day – every moment - we can ascend to heaven with Jesus Christ because we have access to boldly come to the throne of grace.

Second is the Easter of the Bible. Every day we can be reminded of not only the fact of our resurrection with Jesus but also how we must live as a result of it.

Third is the Easter of Holy Communion. As often as your church celebrates the Lord’s Supper, you celebrate the Resurrection of the Lord and participate in His Resurrection through His Body and His Blood.

Fourth is the Easter of the Seasons. As we proceed throughout the annual cycle, the seasons themselves teach us about the Resurrection. First comes the Summer of paradise, and then the Fall of man. Fall produces the death of Winter, but in the Spring Easter and the Resurrection come again. Then comes the Summer of heaven. The Church Year also teaches us about the life of Christ, centered on the Resurrection.

Fifth is the Easter of the Plants, closely related to the Easter of the Seasons. Every year we are reminded of death by the disappearance of the plants and the color green. And every year God resurrects them to beautiful, colorful life.

Sixth is the Easter of the Sun. It is a happy coincidence in the English language that “sun” and “Son” are homonyms. The daily resurrection of the life-giving sun should remind us of the eternal Resurrection of the Life-giving Sun.

Seventh is the daily Easter of Awaking. Every night we ritually die, when we fall asleep. In the Bible to “fall asleep” is even a euphemism for dying. But every morning we are ritually resurrected. What a wonderful opportunity every day to remember our Resurrection and give thanks!

Easter began 2000 years ago at the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, but it will continue forever in heaven, when we are all resurrected in our bodies.

And Easter is here today, because the risen Jesus Christ is here today.
Easter, for Christians, is therefore Everywhere.

Prayer: O God, who for our redemption gave Your only-begotten Son to the death of the Cross and by His glorious Resurrection has delivered us from the power of our enemy; grant us so to die daily from sin that we may live forever more with Him in the joy of the Resurrection; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Resolution and Point for Meditation: I resolve to make use of one of the 7 ways of remembering Easter and to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ today.
