Valentines Day is almost here. And, while some may dismiss it as a "Hallmark holiday" or find fault in a forced, yearly expression of love that somehow conflicts with the random and unpredictable nature of the emotion, I say there's nothing wrong with taking a day to celebrate the ones we love. In fact, out of all the holidays --the ones spent celebrating people we never knew or events we didn't experience--I think Valentine's Day is one of the best. What is better or ultimately more important than celebrating love and the people we love the most?
